Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was raised by an ethnically mixed family. Her father is a Nigerian-Swiss, while her mother was English. She was born on a South London council estate and when she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She was a student at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned an acting BA. She appeared in many stages during her high time at school, including the King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting journey began in the series Storm Damage. Since then, she has been a guest star in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film appearance was in Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. She then appeared in Elisha, the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In the same time, she starred as Ollie for six episodes of Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, the actress was offered Bambi who was the leading character on ITV2's drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was the main character for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy that was released in 2008. Her credits in the theatre are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode series aired for just the duration of two weeks The CW and then it was cancelled. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge as of February 2011. In late May 2013, it was revealed that Madekwe, who been a series regular in the two previous seasons, had decided to quit the show following a guest appearance in the premier episode of the new season. Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for a Gemini Award, is a member of the large Hamilton family. Her parents, Roy and Patty along with her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey throughout the winter and summer months. She grew up in baseball and arenas. Ashley did not walk, but she was a dancer, and at age just two years old, she started Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. It was then that she discovered Ashley's interest in dance. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions for jazz, tap ballet, hip hop, lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe until she graduated in high school. Ashley was awarded the top soloist award at every major dance event, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among a few.
