Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg is a Swedish actress from Sweden. She was in a number of movies, including European and American. She is mostly known for her performance in the comedy-drama film "La Dolce Via". The film was both a critical and commercial success, as having won an Oscar during the Cannes Film Festival 1960. The film was made in Skane, Sweden, she worked as a fashion model prior to her acting career. Eventually, she won the Miss Sweden Contest. After her move to US she was able to act in films and acting in minor characters. Her first credit role was in the film "Abbott and Costello Go To Mars In the film, she was an Venusian guard. In the same year she received her Golden Globe in the category of "Most Outstanding Newcomer," for her part in the film 'Blood Alley. In her long professional career, she appeared in many other films such as the American-Italian war drama film 'War and Peace', and the Western movie 'Valerie' and the British adventure crime film 'The Man Inside The Man Inside' and The French-Italian film 'The Dam in the Yellow River'. In 2015, she died at age 83.
